Ho-oh Raid Guide

Ho-oh is a dual Flying- and Fire-type Legendary Pokémon available in 5-star Raids.

It is duo-able for high-level Trainers with teams consisting of top Rock-type counters such as Rampardos, Tyranitar, and Terrakion – Cloudy weather really helps. If the weather isn’t Cloudy, you are a Lower-level Trainer, or a Trainer lacking proper counters you will need a larger Raid group (3-20) to take out the Rainbow Pokémon.

HO-OH YOUTUBER CONTENT

Here’s a collection of YouTuber content focused on Ho-oh Raids.

In these videos, you will find counters, short-man experiences, and tips & tricks to help you in your battles against the Rainbow Pokémon.

Gold at the End of this Rainbow?

Despite being a Legendary Pokémon, Ho-oh’s flames are definitely quenched by it’s move-set. It doesn’t get access to a Flying or Fire Quick Move. Furthermore, it’s one Charge Move of each type isn’t the strongest either. When compared to Moltres another Flying Fire Legendary its Attack is a little lower, Stamina a hair higher, and Defense way higher. To further the disparity Moltres gets an S Tier Fire and Flying move-set. This makes Moltres better in almost every way. On the other hand Ho-oh can be SHINY. That alone makes it worth raiding, and maybe just maybe Ho-oh will get a move-set shakeup.
